Your Zenfolio website comes with a unique web address by default, based on your name, which will appear in this format: name.zenfoliosite.com
Through the Zenfolio partnership with Name.com, you to get a .photography, .photos, .gallery, and .studio custom domain free for your first year.
If you haven’t already registered for your free domain, visit the Name.com domain portal to get started. If you have already purchased a domain through another registrar/host, not Name.com, please see this article for more information.
Once you have completed the registration and set up process with Name.com, you will need to connect the domain to your Zenfolio account and website.
- Return to your Zenfolio account and click on your name in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu
- Go to Domain & Social.
- Activate the Custom Domain switch on the page.
- Click on the pencil icon to edit the custom domain being used.
- Choose "I want to add a top-level domain", and enter your domain name. The www. portion will automatically be added.
- Click on Continue and then Confirm the change.
As long as the DNS records were already set up properly by Name.com, your website should now be accessible at your custom domain within a few minutes.
If Name.com has verified that your domain has the correct DNS Settings, and after 48 hours your custom domain is still not working, please send an email to our Customer Support team for assistance. Please include a screenshot of your DNS settings from inside your Domain Registrar account.
Please keep in mind that because your domain's DNS settings have been changed through Name.com, if you ever choose to change or move the domain elsewhere, you may need to make changes to that domain's DNS settings through your Name.com account.
