Quick-response codes, or QR codes, are a type of barcode that can be read easily by a digital device and store information as a series of pixels in a square-shaped grid.
When a smartphone camera is pointed at a QR code, the code is recognized and the stored information, like a website link, is provided for the user to access easily.
With Zenfolio's provided QR code generator you can create, download, and edit a QR code for your Galleries to allow for quick access on the go – QR codes are great for adding to event flyers or even business cards.
In your Zenfolio account follow these steps to obtain and edit a Gallery's QR code:
- Click on the Galleries icon on the left-hand side.
- Select the specific Gallery you want to get the QR code for.
- Within that Gallery, click on the Share button in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Edit QR Code from the dropdown menu.
- Here you will see the QR Code generated for the current Gallery Direct Link. Use the Download button to save a .png version of the code that can be used on business cards, flyers, or posted to other websites. Use the Copy button to copy the QR code which can then be pasted into documents or communications.
- If you want to change the Gallery Direct Link that, which will also change the QR code, you can use the field at the top of the window and then click on Save & Copy to save the changes and copy the direct link.
Note: When you change the Direct Link of the Gallery this will change the QR Code. However, any previously generated version of the QR Code that has already been given out should automatically redirect to the same Gallery at the new Direct Link.
