When it comes to uploading large amounts of content to your account, such as from an event or photo session that you need to organize into different folders on your computer, you have the option to perform a bulk upload. This allows you to maintain the overall folder structure that you have created.
To do this, follow these steps:
- On the left-hand side of your Zenfolio account, click on the Galleries icon.
- In the My Library panel that appears on the left-hand side, click on the orange plus icon.
Note: If the My Library panel does not appear automatically use the > icon on the left-hand side or click on the Galleries icon again to expand it.
- In the pop-up menu that appears, click on Upload Folder(s).
- Select the Folder location that this new upload will exist in your account. Click Next.
- You'll then need to select the Shoot Type you want assigned to any Galleries that are created, as well as the Gallery Preset. Click Next.
- Finally, you'll drag and drop, or use the Browse Folders button, to select the overall folder(s) you're going to upload. The upload will begin automatically once your selection is made.
How Will The Folder Structure Be Handled?
Upon initiating the upload process, the system will automatically create the Folder and Gallery structure. It is important to understand how the system generates this structure based on the uploaded folders and media you've provided.
Folders Containing Only Folders
If any folder that is being uploaded within the structure exclusively consists of subfolders, it will maintain its folder status in your Zenfolio account.
Folders Containing Folders and Photos
If any folder that is being uploaded within the structure contains both subfolders and photos that are not within their own subfolder, the photos will be consolidated into a new Gallery with the same name as the folder they are located in.
Folders Containing Only Photos
If any folder that is being uploaded within the structure exclusively consists of photos, it will be converted into a Gallery.
