Passkeys offer a faster, simpler, and more secure way to sign in to your Zenfolio account without needing to remember a password. In addition to signing in with your email, password, and two-factor authentication (2FA), you can now choose to use a passkey tied to your trusted device, such as your phone, computer, or password manager. Passkeys use built-in device security like Face ID, fingerprint recognition, or your device PIN to help protect your account while making login quicker and easier.
Setting Up a Passkey
- In your Zenfolio account, click on your name or avatar icon in the top right-hand corner.
- From the dropdown menu that appears, select My Profile.
- In the My Profile page, go to the Account & Password section.
- Under Passkeys click on the Create a Passkey button.
You will be prompted to select your preferred method for passkey creation. If you are already utilizing a password manager within your browser, it may automatically guide you to update an existing passkey linked to your Zenfolio login, or you may opt to create a new passkey through the password manager.
If you are not currently using any form of password management in your browser, additional options for saving your passkey may be presented, such as using an external device, iCloud Keychain, or a browser-specific profile. Please follow the provided instructions corresponding to your chosen option to complete the passkey setup.
Upon selecting the location for creating and storing your passkey and completing the necessary authorization steps, you will be required to add the passkey to your Zenfolio account by assigning it a name and completing a two-factor authentication (2FA) validation for your account.
- Assign a name to your passkey so that it is clear where the passkey is saved. Click Save.
- Complete the Two-Factor Authentication using the method(s) setup for your Zenfolio account. Click Verify.
Your Passkey has now been created and securely saved to your Zenfolio account. It is available as an option for signing into your account.
Managing Passkeys
Once you have created at least one Passkey in your Zenfolio account, you will have the ability to manage your Passkeys.
Within the Account & Password section on the My Profile page of your account, where your Passkey was initially configured, you can click the three vertical dots icon located to the right of a specific Passkey to access a menu that includes a delete option.
Note: Deleting a Passkey will remove the ability to log in using that Passkey from your Zenfolio account; however, it will not delete the Passkey from the device or location where it was originally saved. If you choose to recreate a Passkey on the same device, you may have the option to overwrite the previously created Passkey with the new one. - You also have the option to create multiple Passkeys for your account. This feature is particularly useful if you access your account from both a desktop and a mobile device. For example, you can set up an additional Passkey on your mobile device that allows you to use biometric authentication, such as your device's fingerprint sensor.
