Copying and Moving Photos Between Galleries

If you need to send several photos to another Gallery or reorganize an entire photoshoot retrospectively, you may Copy or Move photos between Galleries directly from the Organize section. This functionality is available whether you are working with a single photo, a selected group of photos, or the entire Gallery at once.

How The Copying and Moving Functions Work

• Copy duplicates the selected photo(s) into another Gallery while retaining the originals in their current location.
• Move transfers the selected original photo(s) to another Gallery and removes them from the existing one.

Copying or Moving a Single Photo

1. In your Zenfolio account, click on the Galleries icon on the far left side, then open the Gallery you'd like to work with.
2. In the Organize section of the Gallery, click on the photo you want to copy or move.
3. Click the 3 dots menu on the photo.
4. Go to Organize within the menu.
5. Choose Copy or Move.

Once you've made your selection, continue on to Choosing a Destination and Completing the Transfer below.

Copying or Moving Multiple Selected Photos

If you only need to copy or move a limited number of specific photos (rather than your entire Gallery), you can select them individually:

1. In your Zenfolio account, click on the Galleries icon on the far left side, then open the Gallery you'd like to work with.
2. Click on the first photo you want to select. Then to add more photos or videos to your selection use either of the following:
   • Hold Command (CTRL on Windows) on your keyboard and click each additional photo or video individually.
     
   • Hold Shift on your keyboard and click another photo further down the Gallery to select every photo in between as a range.
     
3. On the right side of the toolbar above the photo thumbnails, click More.
4. Choose Copy or Move. Which options are available depends on the photos and/or video you've selected.

Copying or Moving All Photos in a Gallery

To copy or move every photo in a Gallery at once:

1. In your Zenfolio account, click on the Galleries icon on the far left side, then open the Gallery you'd like to work with.
2. In the Organize section, click on any single photo.
3. A selection indicator will appear at the top left of the Gallery showing "1 of X Selected." Click this selection indicator to open a dropdown menu.
4. Choose Select All from the menu options.
5. On the right side of the toolbar above the photo thumbnails, click More.
6. Choose Copy or Move.

Choosing a Destination and Completing the Transfer

Whether you're copying or moving a single photo, a specific selection of photos, or an entire Gallery, the final steps are the same:

1. After clicking Copy or Move, a window will appear where you can choose the destination Gallery.
2. Select the Gallery you'd like to copy or move your photos to.
3. Click Done.

Once you click Done, the Activity Monitor will appear, letting you know that your photos are being copied or moved.
