If a photographer has shared a Gallery with you, this article will help you understand how to access it and what you can do once you're inside.
Photographers can share Galleries in several ways. You might receive an email invitation, a direct link, a QR code, a message from the photographer, or a text message. No matter how the Gallery is shared, the link will take you to the same Gallery where you can view the photos.
Depending on the photographer’s settings, you may be able to do things such as view photos, select favorites, download photos, or purchase downloads. Some Galleries allow different levels of access for different people. For example, certain invited clients may be able to download high-resolution images, while other visitors may only be able to view photos or purchase downloads.
In some cases, the Gallery may ask you to confirm your email address and create a password the first time you access it. This helps the system recognize you and provide the level of access the photographer has assigned to you. If you return to the Gallery later or receive another gallery from the same photographer, you may be asked to sign in again.
The sections below explain the different ways you might access a gallery and how to sign in if prompted.
- Ways you might receive a gallery
- Signing in or creating a client account
- Using an access code
- Understanding what you can do inside a gallery
Signing In To A Gallery
Some photographers assign special access to certain people, such as clients or invited guests. If you've been assigned this special access, you may have received a Magic Link in your Gallery invite. This Magic Link is active for 24 hours and will give you access to the Gallery, from one device, without needing any additional confirmation or password.
If your email address has been invited to the Gallery with the special access of a Client or a Guest, you may be asked to create a password the first time you visit one of the photographer's shared Galleries. This creates your client account with that photographer.
Once your account is created:
- You can use the same email and password to access this Gallery again later.
- You may also use the same sign-in if the photographer shares additional Galleries with you in the future.
This password is only used for your account access and is separate from any gallery password the photographer may use to protect the gallery.
If at any time you are attempting to access a Gallery through an 'expired' Magic Link, you can still gain access to the Gallery by entering in the password you created for your client account. If you did not create a client account, or if you do not remember your account password, you can request an access code that will be sent to your point of contact.
Using an Access Code Instead of a Password
If you've been specially designated as a Client or Guest to a photographer's Gallery, and if you do not want to create a password in the moment, or if you return to a Gallery and cannot remember your password, you can request an access code.
An access code is a temporary code sent to your email address, or point of contact, that allows you to sign in without entering a password.
This option is helpful if you are accessing the Gallery quickly or if you do not remember creating a password previously.
