Duplicating An Existing Page
When you've spent time perfecting a page layout, you shouldn't have to rebuild it from scratch every time you need something similar. The Duplicate Page feature lets you instantly create a copy of any existing page, complete with all of its blocks and layout, so you can focus on updating the content rather than starting over.
How to Duplicate a Page
- In your Zenfolio Dashboard, open the Website Editor.
- In the left-hand Site Pages panel, locate the page you want to duplicate.
- Click the
3 vertical dots icon to the right of the page name.
- In the menu that appears, click Duplicate Page.
- A copy of the page is instantly created. The new page will appear in the Draft / Hidden section of your Site Pages panel, with (Copy 1) appended to the original page title. If you duplicate the same page multiple times, subsequent copies will be labeled (Copy 2), (Copy 3), and so on.
| Pro Tip: All of the original page's blocks and layout are carried over to the duplicate, so the heavy lifting is already done. Just go through the new page and swap in the content that fits. |
After Duplicating: What to Do Next
Once your duplicate page is created, here's how to finish setting it up:
- Click on the duplicated page in the Draft / Hidden section to open and edit it.
- Update the page content: replace text, images, and any other blocks as needed to fit the purpose of the new page.
- Rename the page by clicking the
3 vertical dots menu and selecting Rename Page to give it a clear, relevant title.
- When the page is ready to go live, click the
3 vertical dots menu again and select Move to Public to move it into the Public section of your site.
- Publish your site to make the new page visible to your visitors.
| Important Note: Duplicated pages always land in Draft / Hidden first, they will not appear on your live site until you move them to Public and publish. This gives you time to make edits before anyone sees the new page. |
Additional Tips
- You can duplicate any page, regardless of whether it's currently Public or Draft / Hidden.
- Duplicating a page does not affect the original, it remains exactly as it was.
- If you need to reorder your pages, you can drag them up or down within the Site Pages panel at any time.
Example: Let's say you've built a beautiful Services page with a layout you love; a header block, a text block, and a contact button. Instead of recreating that structure for a new Pricing page, simply duplicate the Services page, rename it, and swap out the content. Done in minutes.
