If you have Social Media accounts that you'd like to add to your account, this can be done through the Account Settings. Note: At this time it is only possible to connect Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- From your account, click on your name in the top right-hand corner.
- Choose Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
- In the Account & Application Settings page, go to Domain & Social.
- Scroll down to the Social section, or click on the Social button on the left-hand side.
- Enter in your applicable Social Media links.
Connecting Your Instagram
You can also connect an Instagram account directly to your Zenfolio account. Just click on the Connect Instagram button and follow the prompts for providing the necessary information.
Adding Social Media Icons to Your Website
After you've added the applicable links for your Social Media accounts, you can then show those icons on your site. To do this, you'll need to enter into the Website Editor.
- In your account, click on the Website button on the left-hand side.
- To add Social Media icons, scroll all the way to the Footer of your website. Select the Footer in the Editor.
- In the options of the Footer Block, on the left-hand side, active the switch for Social Media.
The location of the Social icons in the Footer will depend on the Layout selected for the Footer. Only the icons for the Social Media platforms that you provided a link for will appear.
Adding Instagram Block to Your Website
In addition to the Social icons, you can also add an actual Instagram Block to your website to show your Instagram feed.
- While still in the Website Editor, click on the icon in the location where you want this to appear.
- Scroll through to the Social Blocks section.
- Select the Instagram Block option.
If you've connected your Instagram account, your Instagram feed will appear on your site.
Trouble Connecting Instagram?
In some cases you may be unable to connect to the Zenfolio Instagram Block due to the settings of the Facebook/Meta account that is associated with the Instagram account. If you receive a message stating "Your activity off Meta technologies is currently turned off" you can follow these steps to allow you to connect to the Block.
- Log into your Facebook account account (not your Instagram account) and go to Settings & Privacy.
- Then go to Settings.
- Select the Off-Facebook Activity.
- If on a computer, click on Manage Future Activity. If on the Facebook mobile app, tap on Disconnect Future Activity.
- Select the option to Connect Future Activity. If you're on the Facebook mobile app, toggle ON the Future Off-Facebook Activity option.
Please note: Social media companies may change their 3rd party permissions at any time and this could disrupt the connection on your website. If you see that your social account has disconnected, it is recommended that you re-connect the social account so that you can allow the new permissions presented by the Social Media company.
