For the Galleries that you will create and upload to, in your account, you can indicate a Shoot Type. The Shoot Type allows you to categorize the photos in the Gallery and the Gallery itself. For example, if you photograph a family for a Holiday card, you'd select the Portraits Shoot Type and even further you can select the 'Family' sub-type.
To assign a Shoot Type to a Gallery in your account, follow these steps:
- Go into the Galleries area of your account, and select the Gallery you'd like to edit.
- With that Gallery selected, click on the pencil icon just to the right-hand side of the Gallery Title.
- In the Gallery Details panel that appears on the right-hand side, click on the Shoot Type dropdown menu.
- Here you will see currently used Shoot Type selections and selected Default Shoot Types in your account.
- You can also click on More Shoot Types to see more options to choose from.
- Select the Shoot Type you want to use for this Gallery. If there are any sub-type options, you'll be able to choose from those as well.
If you'd like to make it quicker to choose your more commonly used Shoot Types, you can choose default Shoot Type options for your account. These will be the first Shoot Type options to appear when you go to assign a Shoot Type to a Gallery.
To adjust the default Shoot Type settings of your account, follow these steps:
- Click on your name in the top right-hand corner.
- Go to Account Settings.
- Make sure you're on the Account tab.
- Select the Shoot Types option on the left-hand side of the page, or scroll down to these options.
- Here you'll be able to check the box for any Shoot Types and sub-types you want to make available as 'default' options to choose from. Shoot Types that are already selected and being used in your account will have a grey checkmark that cannot be unchecked.
Again, these will not automatically apply to galleries by default, but will be the first Shoot Type options that you'll see when assigning a Shoot Type to a Gallery.
