Exclusive to PortfolioPlus and ProSuite subscribers.
When a client places an order through your Zenfolio website, your profit from that order is added to your Stripe or PayPal balance. Payment will be paid out within 3-5 business days, after the order has shipped, to the bank account or debit card associated with your Stripe or PayPal account.
Payments processed by Stripe will be paid out through Stripe. Payments processed by PayPal will be paid out through PayPal.
For more information about connecting a payment processor account to start accepting payments, see this guide. Once your account has been connected, and you've started selling products through your Zenfolio site, follow the steps below to check the status of your payouts and manage where payouts are being sent.
Managing Payouts in Stripe
- In your Zenfolio account, click on the
Selling icon, on the left-hand side.
- In Selling, click on the Settings tab.
- Then click on the Go To Stripe button. You may need to enter a confirmation code, if it has been a while since you've visited. If you have not already connected Stripe or PayPal to your Zenfolio account, click here to learn how.
In your Stripe account, the Overview tab will provide you some insight into your total earning and all the transactions that have been processed. On the left-hand side of the Overview page, you will see the payments that are pending payout availability, awaiting payout, and what completed payout.
You can click on the Transactions tab to see all payments received and all payouts that have been issued.
And the Tax Forms tab will allow you to keep your tax information up to date in the event that you qualify for the tax reporting threshold.
Managing Payouts in PayPal
- In your Zenfolio account, click on the
Selling icon, on the left-hand side.
- In Selling, click on the Settings tab.
- Then click on the Go To PayPal button. If you have not already connected Stripe or PayPal to your Zenfolio account, click here to learn how.
Can PayPal Payouts be Manually Processed?
A PayPal payout may only be manually paid out once it reaches its designated "automatic disbursement date."
Upon connecting your PayPal account through Zenfolio's platform, a connection is established that enables the release of funds to you, facilitate any refunds or cancellations, and ensure that print labs receive their respective payments for lab costs. Although the payment is sent to you immediately, Zenfolio employs PayPal's delayed disbursement feature, which means that your funds may be temporarily "on hold" until your client's order has been shipped.
If a PayPal account is disconnected prior to the complete processing of a payout, it effectively terminates the connection, and we are unable to manually release the funds. Consequently, those funds will be retained until PayPal's "Automatic Disbursement Date," which occurs 28 days following the transaction. Unfortunately, we are unable to expedite this process; however, we do provide a warning should you choose to disconnect.
There is a commerce fee of 7% per order (calculated on the order sub-total, excluding tax and shipping) and an additional payment processing fee* (calculated on the order total, including tax and shipping). If a discount is applied to an order, the commerce fee will be calculated after the discount.
*The exact Payment Processing Fee differs based on form of payment and location of seller. There may also be a difference in the Payment Processing Fee if the client is deemed international. Click HERE for more information regarding the fees involved with selling.
